ANZ among takers in Victorian government’s $64m tech skills plan

A host of big companies including ANZ, Salesforce, Carsales, Amazon Web Services and MYOB have signed on to a $64 million Victorian government scheme that promises to subsidise the retraining of mid-career professionals to target increasing shortages in technology skills.

The initiative is aimed at enabling thousands of Victorians to retrain and get new jobs in technology roles, which are in great demand across industry sectors due to a dramatic increase in digital initiatives in businesses and the lack of skilled immigration during the COVID-19 pandemic.
