KKR cuts ties with Turnbull after Trump attack

The global asset and private equity giant ended its arrangement with the former prime minister earlier this year.

US-based asset and private equity giant KKR cut ties with Malcolm Turnbull after Donald Trump attacked the former Australian prime minister over an interview Turnbull gave criticising the US president for his position on trade and China.

Turnbull went on Bloomberg TV in March, criticising the president’s belligerence on trade and said China would “take advantage, massive advantage” of him.
