Rio Tinto began Reconciliation Week by detonating a sacred Indigenous site and ended it saying sorry – sort of.

The miner apologised on Sunday for blowing to Kingdom Come a 46,000-year-old rock shelter of enormous Aboriginal significance that was impeding its access to Juukan Gorge’s rich vein of iron ore.
