House prices have almost recovered from the recent downturn and are on track to hit new highs this month at the rate they are rising.

CoreLogic’s home value index showed home values nationwide rose for the ninth consecutive month, lifting by 0.9 per cent in October, up from 0.7 per cent in the previous month.
