Sydney tipped for worst week of auction results since 2022

As many as three in five homes up for auction in Sydney over the past week failed to sell, producing the worst result since 2022 and prompting experts to warn that vendors could be forced to slash prices.
SQM Research founder Louis Christopher called a 40 per cent clearance after an unusual number of preliminary auction results went unreported for the week to Sunday, indicating poor results.
