Auction clearance rates have dipped slightly after the RBA’s shock decision to hold the cash rate steady last month stalled momentum, but experts say the lull will be short-lived as warmer weather and further interest rate cuts loom.
The combined capitals’ preliminary clearance rate came in at 71.7 per cent, down on the previous week’s 72.3 per cent, Cotality’s auction data showed. However, the result was the ninth consecutive week early clearances held above 70 per cent.
