The prospect of stricter mandates for workplace attendance may increase as the jobs market softens and employers gain the upper hand, according to a panel of property experts.

Some signs of that shift are already emerging, with a number of major organisations issuing edicts in recent weeks for five days in the office, from global giant Amazon to local player Tabcorp.
