Tabcorp CEO Gillon McLachlan has ordered his staff back to the office five days a week as part of a broad reset designed to create “a winning culture” and lift company performance, joining Amazon in the latest salvo over the work from home battle.

The new policy, which affects more than 1500 office-based employees across its Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane offices, was flagged by McLachlan in a video update a few weeks ago but confirmed by Tabcorp’s executive team in an all-staff email on Monday.
