Melbourne fund manager Salter Brothers is eyeing up its next big acquisition, the $200 million offering of Spicers Retreats by Rich Lister Graham Turner and his wife Jude, after settling the biggest hotel deal in Australian history – the $620 million purchase of the Travelodge portfolio.

Well-placed sources confirmed Salter Brothers were in exclusive due diligence to acquire most of the Spicers Retreats portfolio, which comprises 10 luxury lodges in Sydney, the Hunter Valley and south-east Queensland.
