John Holland didn't just send office-based staff to work from home in the pandemic, it sent building site staff home to work as well.
It sounds strange and no doubt was for many of the workers involved, but in Melbourne, where the stage four restrictions aimed at controlling COVID-19 cut staffing numbers to as little as 25 per cent of normal levels on large projects, the builder had little choice.
