Aurecon is using artificial intelligence to help build bridges. In response to a question typed into a chat-style interface about the best structural form for a 40-metre span, the engineering consultancy’s in-house platform draws information from a range of documents to generate reliable answers.

It’s not only about bridges. Recall, as the tool is named, contains structured knowledge employees can tap to get an expert response on a range of issues. It doesn’t make answers up and if it doesn’t have an answer, will say so.
