A 30-kilometre strip of coastal land which operated as a salt field for 80 years in northern Adelaide is being offered for sale by ASX-listed Ridley Corporation and the South Australian government, with property experts saying it is the biggest parcel of land ever put on the market in Adelaide.
The 5500-hectare parcel starts at Dry Creek about 12 kilometres north of the Adelaide CBD and runs for 30 kilometres along the coastline to a mangrove area past St Kilda, to the north of the city.
