States back crackdown on non-disclosure agreements

Mainland state governments have signalled cautious support for Victorian Labor’s plan to ban non-disclosure agreements that could silence victims of workplace harassment.
But business groups say any national push to limit the use of NDAs should be led by the federal government, and senior employment lawyers warn blanket bans could backfire on victims and lead to more lengthy and expensive cases tied up in court.
