Running out of power before reaching their destination is the major concern of people considering whether to buy an electric car, but most still say they will go hybrid or fully electric for their next vehicle.

A poll of readers of The Australian Financial Review found they worry that the current system of charging stations for electric vehicles is insufficient but is not enough to discourage the majority from abandoning full combustion engines.
