Unis should face inquiry into $380m in underpayments: academics’ union

Universities exploited junior staff keen to get a foot on the academic ladder by underpaying them to the tune of at least $380 million over the past decade, according to the academics’ union.
The National Tertiary Education Union has called for an urgent inquiry into university wage theft that has affected mroe than 130,000 people in 30 universities.
