Treasurer Jim Chalmers has handed down his third budget that features handouts to ease cost of living concerns.
Treasury has forecast that inflation will stabilise within the Reserve Bank’s target range of between 2 and 3 per cent, spending on the NDIS will continue to increase, the stage three tax cuts will increase disposable income, and the budget is set to fall back into deficit from FY25.
