The number of voters who think Coles and Woolworths have a positive influence on their lives is nearly double that of those who say the same about the federal government, but half are unsure about how they feel about national airline Qantas.

More than 50 per cent think banks should lend to the forestry industry, and oil and gas giants, but are less than thrilled about financing weapons makers, social media companies and gambling firms.
