National cabinet Closing the Gap reset looms

Premiers and chief ministers could sign on to a reset of the national Closing the Gap targets as soon as next week, with leaders to push for progress in Friday's national cabinet meeting.
Despite Victoria's COVID-19 outbreak dominating the talks, the planned update to targets to address Indigenous disadvantage and progress on out-of-home care are expected to be raised at the meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Scott Morrison.
