Indigenous Australians Minister Ken Wyatt has slammed leaked proposals for parity in rates of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in jails by 2093, saying targets seven decades in the future wouldn't deliver real change.

A series of draft targets negotiated by Indigenous advocates and bureaucrats included the proposed end date. It was widely criticised after being leaked this week.
