In a politically bleak winter, Peter Dutton has grabbed the Coalition win in the Fadden byelection with both hands.
The swing to the LNP in the Queensland seat is relatively modest at between 2 and 3 per cent. That’s still enough for the Opposition Leader to claim vindication for his argument that the country is going in the wrong direction under Anthony Albanese.
