Jacqui Lambie has privately appealed to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for Senate crossbenchers to be given additional staff, warning of legislative logjams and workplace compensation claims as parliamentary staffers deal with unreasonable workloads.
The Tasmanian senator, who is a critical vote on contested legislation, wrote to Mr Albanese this week on behalf of a group of crossbench colleagues.
