Andrew Bell, a former associate to High Court chief justice Sir Anthony Mason before a stellar career as a barrister and judge, will be the next chief justice of NSW.
Justice Bell, who has been president of the Court of Appeal since 2019, will replace Chief Justice Tom Bathurst after he steps down on March 5.
