Anthony Albanese says Greens leader Adam Bandt must explain what his office knew about revelations Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe was dating the former president of an outlaw motorcycle gang while sitting on a parliamentary committee that examines bikie gangs.

Mr Bandt sacked Senator Thorpe from her leadership role with the Greens after the ABC revealed on Thursday she “briefly dated” the ex-president of the Rebels bikie gang in Victoria, Dean Martin, while she was sitting on the joint parliamentary law enforcement committee, which receives confidential briefings about bikie gangs and organised crime.
