Holocaust memorial day is more than an annual commemoration. It is an urgent reminder of what happens when the world turns its back on the quest to murder Jews.
Today is Holocaust memorial day – and the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz. This year, as every year, the phrase “never again” will be at the centre of the commemorations.
But more than at any time since 1945, it will be meaningless.
