Wages steady at 2.3pc despite June quarter lift

Wage growth has remained unchanged at 2.3 per cent per year despite a better than expected June quarter reading, according to official figures.

Wages grew 0.6 per cent in the June quarter, more than the 0.5 per cent gain that the Bloomberg consensus of economists expected.
