Shadow treasurer Angus Taylor has lashed Anthony Albanese’s warning to the Reserve Bank of Australia not to “overreach” on interest rate rises as it moves to curb growing inflation.
Mr Taylor said the prime minister should focus on managing the budget in a way that reduced upwards pressure on prices and interest rates, starting with $45 billion in panned off-budget spending.
