Reviewing the monetary swamp

This must not be an insider review to endorse the choices of a central bank that has made policy mistakes. It matters too much.

The last decade in Australia saw declining per capita GDP growth, falling productivity and a massive misallocation of capital to existing residential property, so eroding housing affordability. This was all fuelled by excessively easy monetary policy, combined with tax breaks and an unbalanced temporary visa program.
