RBA slashes growth 0.5pc on coronavirus fears

The Reserve Bank expects the coronavirus impacts on education and tourism alone has already slashed Australia's economic growth in the first two months of this year by as much as half a percentage point.

The estimate is more than double the impact it expected in February 7 before the outbreak intensified.
