Productivity Commission shines light on economic costs just as Whitlam wanted

Before riding in on a white horse to stage an ‘ESG takeover’, critics should take more than a cursory glance at the work the nation’s economic think tank actually does.

You have to have a thick skin in public policy. Most slights or even misinterpretations of policy positions we simply ignore.

But Jeremy Cooper’s fundamental misrepresentation of the Productivity Commission’s work repeats a myth about our organisation that warrants a response.
