While the Australian economy isn’t perfect, the labour market is providing a job to most people who want one and inflation is cooling. The federal budget was in surplus for two years, despite the heavy burden of COVID-19 and national debt has not grown as badly as it has in many other countries. Thankfully, we are not fighting a war, nor are we bracing against a pandemic.
