A surprise drop in employment is unlikely to bring forward another rate cut from the Reserve Bank of Australia, as economists warn the jobs market is still historically strong.
Almost 53,000 workers lost their jobs last month, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday, as fewer older people returned to work than usual.
