Newly installed Productivity Minister Andrew Leigh has told businesses opposing the looming ban on non-compete clauses to offer their workers better pay and conditions if they want them to stop leaving.
In an interview with The Australian Financial Review, Leigh, a former ANU economics professor, called on state governments to help fix the nation’s productivity challenge by abolishing stamp duty and replacing it with land tax.
