Appointing scientists to boards can be shortcut to productivity gains
Companies that have women, scientists and people who have worked overseas on their boards perform markedly better than those without, according to research by the Committee for Economic Development of Australia and the University of Technology Sydney.
More than 80 per cent of companies assessed as top-performing had at least one female director, one director who had science and technology expertise, and at least one with international experience, the study found.
