AIDC defends executives' salaries

INVESTOR and financier AIDC Ltd yesterday moved into damage control mode over the record remuneration levels earned by its senior executives in 1994-95.
AIDC's salaries were the subject of criticism by the Federal Opposition and during questioning in the Senate, Industry Minister, Senator Peter Cook, agreed the payments were against the interests of the Australian public as shareholders in the company.
