Pengana, Franklin Templeton wrong-footed by SVB bets

Pengana, Franklin Templeton and Mirova were among investment firms scrambling to assess their exposure to Silicon Valley Bank last week after the regional lender suddenly collapsed, leaving shareholders wondering whether their equity was worth anything.

Data provided by Morningstar shows more than 60 Australian domiciled equity funds held shares in SVB ahead of its demise, which has sent shockwaves through the global financial system.
