Credit funds raise $1b in rush to list on the ASX

The corporate regulator has revealed it is worried about two key changes to capital markets – more money is being pumped into private markets and listings on the Australian Securities Exchange are slowing.

But in the background, nearly $1 billion of capital is being raised for private credit funds listed on the ASX so far this year as firms scramble to tap retail investors who are on the hunt for higher income but have a lingering preference for public markets.
