Chinese trade bounce seeds third quarter rebound

A surprise rebound in Chinese trade last month points to a sharp divergence in growth for the world's two largest economies, which Westpac chief economist Bill Evans says will underpin demand for the local dollar and two-thirds of Australia's exports to China.

The remaining third of exports, including education and agriculture, "have real challenges".
