London | British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has launched a crackdown on industrial action by essential public-service workers, aiming to get his beleaguered Conservative government on top of a crippling wave of strikes.
The anti-strike law announced on Thursday (Friday AEDT) will require sectors including hospitals, ambulances, schools, the fire brigade, the border force and the railways to maintain “minimum service levels” when industrial action takes place.
