Why running?
Lots of reasons. For mental health and because I have too much energy. Running helps keep my mind still and calm – I love to lace up my shoes and just zone out. It can be tough to pound the pavement but the runner’s high and mental clarity afterwards is so worth it. I’ve always been active and health conscious. Running makes sense because there’s always something to work on, like perfecting your breathing and stride. I enjoy the challenge of striving for a personal best, and of course being outdoors in nature is fantastic for mental health. You can run anywhere and at any time, it’s free and it’s environmentally friendly – and you can even invite your friends.
