Matt Davies was already a good runner by most people’s standards. He had completed a few marathons and had a personal best of 3 hours 39 minutes over that distance.

But the chief executive of software company MakerX wasn’t satisfied. He wanted to keep improving, yet injuries kept getting in the way.
