How did wine studies first pique your interest?
I was in my early 30s, living in Singapore, and got this marketing email from Court of Master Sommeliers. They had two Grand Cru sommeliers in town. So I enrolled. In a class of 50, I was the only person not working in the restaurant business, the only person in advertising and marketing.
