Buying a bottle of wine as a gift for my mum used to be easy. Her name was Patricia and she loved bubbly – and Brown Brothers happen to produce a very good fizz called Patricia, named to honour the Brown family matriarch.
It’s made from pinot noir and chardonnay grown in the cool, high-altitude Whitlands area of the King Valley in north-east Victoria, and is always released with a few years’ bottle age, so it has lots of complex, toasty, yeasty flavours.
