Amazon’s Ring cameras have received an upgrade that lets you search though hours of footage for people and events. But the technology doesn’t come cheap.
You quickly learn what the computer thinks of you when you start using an Amazon Ring camera.
The computer definitely thinks I have “curly hair”, for instance, but it doesn’t think I am “short”, “fat” or “ugly”, which is nice. The computer did call a coworker here in the Digital Life Labs a “dog”, but there was a good reason for that and I am sure it meant no offence.
