The last thing the owner of the Lord Byron Distillery expected was to end up creating a gin brand with the Hollywood star and her friends.

Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, Margot walked into Brian’s.

“It was a few years ago now,” says Brian Restall, owner of Lord Byron Distillery, on the outskirts of Byron Bay. “Margot came and did our gin-making course with some friends on one of her breaks in Byron. People who come to the course choose their own botanicals, learn how to distil on a very small scale, and walk out after 2½ hours with a bottle of their own gin. Obviously, Margot quite enjoyed hers.”
