With one in eight Australians buying counterfeit goods, fakes are everywhere. But a new category for copycat goods is emerging alongside the primary market: resale.

Lauren Kennedy is the co-founder and chief executive of High End, a resale marketplace app where thousands of second-hand listings are created each month. The peer-to-peer app allows users to buy and sell their own clothes, but Kennedy – who worked in data science and fraud at Macquarie Bank before launching High End – noticed a problem.
