SeaLink in $5m hit from bushfires and coronavirus

SeaLink Travel, which operates the ferry service to Kangaroo Island and Captain Cook Cruises on Sydney Harbour, has warned of a $5 million hit to profits from the coronavirus fallout on international tourism and disruption to Kangaroo Island tourism.
New boss Clint Feuerherdt, who took over as chief executive of SeaLink on January 16 just as 50 per cent of the pristine tourism mecca of Kangaroo Island was burnt out, said on Wednesday that an early estimate was for a likely reduction to June-half earnings of $5 million.
