India should resist the temptation to over-analyse their first-Test batting collapse and draft in more aggressive players if they want to compete in the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, says the country’s most successful cricket captain, Steve Waugh.

“It was a freak day for them, everything they went near they nicked and it went to the keeper," he said. "Australia’s bowling was relentless and everything went right. India just have to forget about it and move on.”
