Woolworths shoppers want the country’s largest supermarket chain to focus on one thing: value.

That’s what Brad Banducci, the retailer’s chief executive, says. Last month he faced a bruising political bunfight with Peter Dutton, after the Opposition Leader called for a boycott after Woolworths decided to remove Australia Day merchandise from shelves, a decision it said was commercial in nature.
