Harvey Norman chairman Gerry Harvey says the biggest issue for Australia’s largest furniture retailer is not whether it got government wage subsidies amid the biggest household spending boom in memory but where the business will be in 10 years.
Mr Harvey, who owns more than 30 per cent of Harvey Norman, faces new pressure to return almost $4 million in JobKeeper subsidies after profits and dividends more than doubled in the first half of fiscal 2021.
