Big four accountancy firm Deloitte is trying to get a slew of possible new allegations regarding its audit work for collapsed construction outfit Hastie thrown out of the Federal Court before they are heard, claiming they fall short of the limitation periods imposed by corporations and financial services laws.

It is the latest round in super fund Sadie Ville’s long-running class action against Deloitte over the collapse, in which it is alleging that the firm failed to show due care and skill when auditing the failed company.
